Kingman Museum

21st Century through Battle Creek Public Schools has collaborated with Kingman Museum for the past six years, developing a mutual goal of providing fun quality programs for the children in Battle Creek Public Schools. The Kingman staff customizes their programs to fit the needs of our 1400+ At-Risk Battle Creek Public Schools children after school through the school year and summer. The students marvel at the improvements that have been made to the museum over the past couple of years and thorougly enjoy their experiences; often making comments about certain things that were learned. Many times, the children bring things home that were made at the museum. An area that the children really enjoy is the dinosaur unit. The scavenger hunts and nature walks are relaxing and informative. Kingman creates a space to stimulate a child's curiosity through a variety of hands-on, sensory experiences that fosters a thirst for discovery and knowledge.
