21st Century Service Learing Opportunities:

1. Mentoring - Older students mentor younger students. Often leads to employment when eligible.


2. 21st Century Gives Back - Each year, our students make posters, gather items of need, and organize and send packages to our troops overseas. Also around the holidays, our students will create cards/gifts for nursing homes in the community.


3. Volunteering - High school students visit the Humane Society of South Central Michigan and volunteer their time there. Some of their duties include cleaning the yard, cleaning animals, walking dogs and keeping animals company.


4. School-based Scouting - Fun activities to earn badges and do community service projects.


5. O Ambassadors - Designed to inspire youth to become active, compassionate, and knowledgeable of global issues. Students make jewelry to be sold at fundraisers. Proceeds from sales go to impoverished people in Africa.
